I may order a new ST for march 07. If I get the right deal!!
I'm thinking of Performance Blue or Red
NO stripes (my second set have peeled off so I've taken them off alltogether)
MP3 socket
Technology Pack (Rain Sensor/Auto Lights, Power Folds and 2nd remote key)
Privacy Glass
ESP
Bluetooth

My current ST is:
Panther Black
01/04/06 (06 plate)
Hot Copper Interior (Red seats/Grey dash)
MP3 socket
Rain Sensor/Auto Lights
Power Folds
2nd remote key
Privacy Glass
It's in good nick and has done 8,000 miles (oil was changed at 6,000)
What do you think it's worth guys???
A friend of mine has just paid £10,500 for a 55 plate White with stripes pre-facelift

No I agree with ya, am priviledge as well but some can get new ones from Archers for £10,900 or whatever the price is
Think Fords are trying to do away with priviledge in the future as they never seem to include us in any special offers.

Have you checked Autotrader, see what the current market value is for the car?

Only that they have combined Rain Sensor/Auto Lights, Powerfols Mirrors and the 2nd Remote Key into the Technology Pack.
It still works out about £20 cheaper on the ST even though body colour/electric mirrors and the radio remote are standard

I've just been in touch with Archers of Ashby, they seem to know their stuff and I will be talking to them again after Xmas as they were getting ready to close for Xmas.
They told me they can also fit a Magnex exhaust for me, which I found very interesting.
Will keep you informed.

Dave, did you mention that you were priviledge to them? As when I called them and asked about deals on STs, they said it was ex priviledge only.
Basically works out the same price anyways.

Yes I did, but as you know the priv. deals are changing on 01.01.07
You basically get the exact same deals as a retail customer plus your priv. discount, which is £1500 on a Fiesta ST.
That means that if they're knocking out STs to the public at £10,600 I get one for £9,100.
I'm also looking at a Mondeo Titanium X for the missus, he said I should get a stonking deal on that as they're priced to sell at the mo. due to the new one coming out.
The only thing he mentioned was that I would not get such a good deal on the part-ex prices due to the deals, just bottom book price, which is no worse than Heartless Fraud at the back of the Jag plant ever offer. They're terrible, I was once offered £4500 on my Fiesta Black, which was only 12mths old at the time (it's retail new cost was £11,495!!) I then got up and walked away telling him he was insulting my intelligence!
I then chopped it in for a 05 Focus Edge for £6000
I may look at selling the Fiesta private.

yeh I would sell it private if you can.

Didnt know that about priviledge? So the rules are changing then. £1500 is nothing of a new car.
So means if they sell them at normal retail price 13,955 then we would only get £1500 off it? thats pants....

Yes but you get £1500 after any allowance that retail customers get, so if Archers are knocking out STs for £10600 we should get £9100.
I think

damn, your mate got done paying £10.5k for a 55 pre facelift, would have sold ours for way less than that, same spec

Trying to shift ours at the mo, but trade in is less than outstanding on options http://www.fordfiestast.co.uk/showflat.p...=true#Post53380

thinking of selling private, but its a lot of hassle with having the options/HPI outstanding, so not sure

going to see how the new privilege deal pans out, and what the outstanding looks like in a few months, but i dont thinks its going to be easy, havent seen many private sales go well on ebay etc, most seem to be scraping the 9k mark

Unless we get a stonking deal though going to be hard to get another as dont want to go through the same loss again, looses a huge chunk of value compared to the other cars
