Think this is in the wrong thread. I presume this is meaning for FITP. Anyways, I'd already ordered one for Matt, but I'll put Jo down for one also for when I next order some.

Mr Admin. I feel a new subname coming on. Any of the moderators think Scotty needs a change?

Lol well I don't have the power to do that anyways. The only people that can change Scottys name are himself and Hugh.

Right getting things back on topic....

I know that its still two months away now, but the time will come upon us rapidly and Easter will be around before we know it. So I've wanted to get moving again on sorting a few things out while I've got some spare time on my hands.

Just to remind people, the campsite for those of us who are camping will be here:

http://www.abbotshouse.org.uk/

Which is at Goathland near Whitby in North Yorkshire.

Now with it being Good Friday, I know that the roads will get quite busy, so it might be an idea if we all try and set off nice and early, to avoid getting stuck in traffic all day.

With regards to getting there, looking at it from the way that people are coming up then I think the following might be an idea:

I’ll be coming from the opposite direction to most of you therefore I’ll be making my way there by myself, unless Steve from Carlisle is going in which case I’ll meet up at Rheged services and convoy across from there.

Kevin, I presume that you will be going round to Scott’s beforehand and following Scott and Becky up. Micky, you maybe popping into Newbury to meet up with Stuart again perhaps? So with this in mind, I think that Woodall Services on the M1 would be a good meeting point – all five of you, plus Tony, would be going past there so that would be six of you to convoy from there onwards.

Matt and Jo, I haven’t forgot about yous, but I’m not sure where in Warwickshire you’re from to add you two into the equation. I’m sure you’d be going up via the same route, so maybe meet with the rest at Woodall also?

Iceman and Fabrix, its up to yourselves if you would like to convoy up with the others for the last leg of the journey, but if you would then looking at things then “The Four Alls Inn” at Stockton-in-the-Forest just off the A64 seems like an idea to meet up, since you’ll all be going past here.

Jimmy, not sure if you're able to come or not, and if so where from, but I'll add you into things that all once you know if you're coming.

Right so now I’ve given you some ideas as to how we can get there. Now can look at that Friday itself...

We will be meeting up at the campsite in Goathland, and I think one of the first things we should do is get the tenst sorted out for those that are stopping there. Will avoid setting them up in the dark like in Newqauy, though I can't guarantee that we will be avoiding setting them up in the rain like we had down there also!!

That leaves the rest of the day. Now I think that it might be nice to relax a little before driving down to Scarborough. Its just down the road, and theres a few things that we could do there. I know these are things that have been done at various places before, but they've worked well on those occasions, and will ensure that the kids are kept entertained also, which for me is the most important thing.

Theres a crazy golf course we could go to, having read here it will be open by then so theres no worries about that:

Crazy Golf Course

Scarborough also a little funfair also to visit. The only thing is that looking on the information I can find, its not that clear whether or not it will be open that Friday, it might be worth me getting in touch and seeing what the crack is:

Lunar Park Funfair

For something to eat later on, it is up to what everyone wants to do. I've had a look and theres a Maccys there, I'm sure with it being on coast there'll some decent chip shops also. It all depends on what people want.

For the evening I've seen that theres a ten pin bowling alley in Scarborough also, open until 10pm:

10 Pin Bowling

Hopefully theres enough there for everyone. Ultimately after a long drive I think most people will be wanting to just take things easy, so hope that the above sounds fine.

It's not my meet though its all of yours. So if anyone has any other suggestions or things they would like then feel free to add them!!

I know theres still the rest of the weekend to sort out, but its a start I've made, and its taken me pretty much all afternoon since I got up to get this far. I'll have a look at a few other things later in the week.

Right, I'm now going to have another lie down.

Regards
Chris
