just have a question if you guys dont mind, kinda just wanted to know what was best to add to the ST fiesta turbo or supercharger, also if u had any idea of prices? and what BHP you looking at?
I'm guessing the 9K as quoted by PinkRinse (correct me if I'm wrong Ayesha) is for a supercharger installation which I take it goes in place of the A/C compressor and is driven by the accessories belt.
I would imagine a turbocharger solution to be cheaper. My dealer intended to fit a turbocharger on his JWRC replica car but he's not got arount to it yet. His project is frozen for the winter (ha ha, I like my choice of words). Nevertheless according to him you could get around 200 bhp with it blowing at only +0.3 bar (very little). I would also imagine that with a turbocharger you get to keep A/C.

Well there have been guestimates of around £4-9K. Someone who knows someone had an ST170 turbo'd (yes yes different engine but I'm talking about price here) cost them £9K.
There are plenty of rumours about people or comapnies "just about to release" or "working on" kits for our car's engine.

I think those mods are too expensive compared the BHP gain! Would prefered to spend 9K on another car even better get a Focus ST or Mazda MPS for less (9K+ST)=A lot!! and they more easy to tuned!
Oh but you can gait a LOT more with a turbocharger... It's just that there is not much point going much over 200 bhp with front wheel drive.
Bear in mind that the turbo only blows at +0.3 to gain about 50 bhp. Make it blow at 1.0 bar and you'll surely gain a lot more power, not to mention also on the torque gains.

Yes did heard same stories with add on turbo seem to have happen a lot on Turbo Saxo!
Oh yes that is absolutely my opinion too. In fact it is not uncommon even for manufacturer built turbo cars to require skilled attention to make them run right. My input above was simply informative for the initial thread question.
But yeah, save money and get an Escort Cossie , you get 4 wheel drive as bonus thrown in.

About Cosworth Nick did saw one for sale few months back a Blue Cosworth RS complete standard even the light bulb were still yellow! only have 67000KM and was selling it for 14000euro! that was a bargain!!
You'll lose your a/c though 
I'd rather buy a faster, already turbo'd car for that.
