I probably should have posted here already, my bad.
Bought my F.ST yesterday, picking it up on Monday. I traded in my SportKA. Although I know alot of people frown upon any kind of KA, the SportKA is a great car, with superb handling. Pretty much like a big go-kart. However, I've had my eye on the F.ST since it came out and after test driving it and opening her up, I couldn't turn her down! Awesome car!

Anyway, it's cool to be here. Glad I found this forum.

Hi Richie, welcome to the site.

I'm sure that you're looking forwards to getting your ST. Your right about the SportKa being a good car - I had one as a hire car a few years back when I was on holiday in the Isle of Man, and found it a great little car to drive!

Welcome Richie

Sport Ka is a great little car my brother had an imperial blue one and he loved it. I borrowed it while having some warranty work done to my RS and loved it shame it wasn't 16 valve really.
Any way welcome to the site hope to see you at future shows and events this year

Hey guys thanks alot.
I am going to try and get on here alot over the course of the year, great bunch of people and I know I can learn alot more about my ST by taking part in this forum. I'd definitely be up for meeting people further down the line.

Anyway, I don't want to get into this too much, but one of my best mates died on Wednesday morning, I only found out last night. So I may be scarce for a while, but I'll definitely be back.

He was one of the first people I was going to show the new car to because he was such a car enthusiast as well. He had just bought a SAXO VTS (he loved Saxos, had a 1i, then a VTR previously) with performance enhanced, after working his ass off all Christmas. He was just promoted at his job too. I am kinda lost for words right now and not sure why I am even posting this here. In short I am devastated, he was only 22 years old and a helluva guy. May he R.I.P.

(Sorry to post this here, just venting I guess.)

I fully agree... as Admin to the site you are free to post what you wish about your friend for others to see... Myself or any of the Team (Green and Purple names) will lock any threads you wish.

I'm really sorry to hear this, it's never nice when this happens but it does so much.

May I just ask how he died? Be the sounds he enjoyed speed, I guess this was his final downfall? Atleast he died in the car he wanted and what he loved doing best. May he rest in peace.

I hope that you can remember him for the person he was, not for what's happened now. Things will get easier with time.

Take Care of yourself and pm me or any of the staff if you require anything.

Scotty

Sorry to hear about your mate. Loosing someone close is never an easy thing to deal with. You never get used to it but with time things do get easier. Take care matey.

Hi Richie

Sorry to hear your sad news. Try to remember the good times, I know it's hard at the moment because I have been through it myself.

Take Care

PS I have had two SportKa's and they were great, but I know you will love your ST even more.

Hey guys, thanks alot. I absolutely love the car, though I have plans to make some mods after a years time (when I turn 25), hopefully with no claims at all!

All the best to everybody.

Well, the car has taken my mind off stuff, as well as this forum. I have several mods planned, including new alloys, brake upgrade and a remap kit in the near future which will keep me busy. Then an induction kit/exhaust system in good time. I'll take some pics of the car soon, and hopefully I'll have the new alloys/brakes soon so I can take pics for comparison. Anyhow good to be here. Having a quiet night in tonight.

It's nice to see you back on the boards

I'm doing exactly the same and just totally chilling out. It's nice not to have any work thats going around in my mind like a washing machine.

It sounds like you have some real good plans for your car!!!

Have you seen the Easter Meet and FITP show in the Meets/Events thread.

Have a look and pop along to see us, were a good bunch!!!
