Just spoke to a guy from Dunton, not sure if he was full of the brown stuff , but he was saying that any type of change to the air intake on the new car sees quite a change his words "its like taking the spud out of the exhaust pipe" But before you go off to buy your induction kit a word or warning "WARRANTY". On the 170 a K&N panel filter worked quite well with the BLUEFIN so perhaps this may be the safer alternative The Panel filter won't effect the warranty.

There's quite a nice article on tuning the Duratec 2.0 here. The 203 kit seems to improve the induction quite a bit. As far as I can tell, this kit should work OK with the ST engine?

Here in Cape Town, South Africa, the first ST's are due in February. Unfortunately, choices seem a bit limited (dealers are assigned cars as they arrive), although I'm sure custom orders would be handled with a suitable waiting period. I have an option on a black ST arriving in March. I have heard that black is a slightly problematic colour, although there is a local paint protection scheme called PTS106 that looks quite interesting.

Great info, seems to confirm that a little help with the breathing go's a long way. Can't wait to start playing

Very interesting read that so the car will take 180bhp without many real problems.

I think some Fiesta ST's could be giving my Focus RS problems before long.

Well that was what I was told by the boys who where running them at Lommel. I was gutted when I read in the magazines that they were only 'nearly' as quick as the 170.

Maybe there is more than meets the eye....

(btw they were saying Lommel is in Germany but it's actually Belgium)(I live about 25 km from it over the border in Holland)

I will have a play with the various types of induction kits when the car arrives, once I get some results I will pass them on.

I wonder if the larger throttle body that (I think it's American Racing) was fitted to a few Foci would fit?
Plus I've just sent an e-mail to the guy that kept me uptodate with the Bluefin for the ST170,wonder how long it will take to produce one for the Festa?

Bad new Fiesta airfilter fits only that car, so
you will have to wait for someone to produce a new filter
