I really don't think you'd get the T5 engine to fit the Fiesta engine bay as it's too long.
Though, as said, anything is poss with a hammer and a mig welder.
I used to have a friend who had a MKII Escort with a capri 3.0 V6 engine in!!

If you're desperate to depleat your bank balance and have a fixation on replacing clutches, gearboxes and driveshafts then you may want to consider shuvving in the lump out of a Mazda 6 MPS.
It's the 2.3 version of our Duratec (so it's a 4cyl) and it's turbo'd.
Should connect straight up to your gearbox (for a while) but you would have to get the Mazda's ECU wired in to run it properly.
You should push about 250 BHP in standard form and 300 -350 torque, don't quote me though, It may be more.
A limited slip diff will not prevent the gearbox from exploding with the torque so don't waste your money.
I would have the ECU mapped so you get a reduction in torque on 1st and 2nd gears, that should make it last a bit longer

Or buy a better car!!
