I've covered the worst of my stone chips (some are even craters out of the metal of the bonnet etc) with the touch up paint, just to stop anything rusting until I get the front end resprayed in the next few months

No probs mate
Where do you live in Glasgow out of interest? I lived in the Merchant City for 3 years (due to work) now down in London (work again) but the wife n kids are North of Aberdeen!
Gotta say I LOVED my 3 years in Glasgow. Ive travelled all over with my job, but Glasgow really sticks in my mind! Its a fantastic City.
My only bad experience was someone running into the M5 I had at the time, causing 3k of damage and then driving off!!!
Could have happened anywhere I suppose....

I've got tonns of them on my focus bonnet... i've come to accept that if i re-spray the bonnet they will all just come back.
I just polish over them and ignore they are there.
If you drive your car, it's never going to stay perfect really.
thats true if only roads were clean sometime!!

I know Kirkie, done a few presentations at Kirkintilloch High School. Funny that whenever I went to Lenzie Academy, it was always sunny, but whenever I went to Kirkie HS, it always rained!

Other than doing what Scotty, Andy or I do, the other option is to spend upwards of £500 for Paintshield (a plastic like covering stuck to your car that helps protect the paint against chips etc).

Wapster, I was giving a presentation about careers in the RAF. We can take a 3 year "career break" for all intents and purposes, and I did 3 years as a Careers Liaison Officer in Glasgow. Now Im back to my main (RAF) job, as an Aerospace Systems Manager, although I handed in my notice last week (this is my 5th year of living apart from my family and I cant take much more). So I will be a civvy in 18 months time after 23 years of talking to aeroplanes for a living. Ill be looking for a job in the real world....................... Im bloody dreading it! Andy
