Pinkie, I think your ride height looks how ford should have made them.... it sits perfect!

DO you get any funny rubbing type sounds coming from the springs? and any downsides to having them done?

You mean apart from the fact I need at least 3 fillings replaced after having them shook out me head?

The harsher ride is the only down side, but you really do have to experience it. As a passenger you feel it more because as a driver you're usually braced against the wheel. With coilovers you can set the ride height and the softness or harshness of the ride too. Oh and you do have to take speed bumps carefully and keep an eye out for really bad pot holes.

I was in Pumabuild's up & running 2.3L Duratec engine swap ST and it was SO nice being in a car with standard suspension but it didnt handle that well.

There will always be a trade off.

I know that you have been thinking about this for absolutely ages, so I'm sure you're now looking forwards to actually having it done now. Let us know what you think afterwards.

Yes I'm looking forward to be done! When I look at Pinkrinse it look so good! So just cant wait! when I lowered my Corsa few years back the handle was so much better!! the handle so well and improve speed through corner! So I hope will have the same result for it as I think the ST is to high and I'm not confident enough to go fast trough corners!
