I'm buying it from Ripple Road Dagenham Motors and apparently the car is already at the Dagenham holding area- hence the speedy delivery. I'll believe it when I see it though, wouldn't be surprised if there were delays- there usually are with such things!

I didn't pick the spec though I just looked through what they had in stock and decided which one I fancied as my girlf is going a bit stir crazy without the freedom of her own car since our Peugeot gave up the ghost. I did let her drive my M3 the other day but she said it felt 'heavy' and didn't really get on with the LHD aspect. Heavy...? Pah!

I think it's just different- the steering is power-assisted but very weighty compared to your average Euro-box as are the major controls.

I guess there is a certain different sensation of heft based it being RWD (that's right-wheel drive ;-) ) and a feeling that you are being pushed along rather than pulled which can be a tad odd for someone who has never encountered rear wheel drive in their driving career.

Well, looks like there are to be no delays- car arrived with the dealer yesterday, I sorted out my insurance today so should be all set for a Saturday collection.
