would this not affect your insurance just like induction kits and has anyone asked as i reckon they would treat this the same surely as it might affect power etc just curious???

SO EASY to put a panel filter in and out... you can do it in minutes as long as you have the right tool to remove the airbox lid. Think it's a star head, or whatever you call it... no need to declare it at all IMO.

I soooooo hope it make the engine sound more aggressive! I dont want it sounding like an induction kit but at the same time iwant it a bit deeper than standard

panel filters do not affect your insurace as you're not altering the vehicle in any way and you could also argue that its to reduce emmisions and save fuel, which they do if you're not flooring it.
It's no different than going to Halfords and buying one of their filters instead of a Ford one.

Might be a good idea to do that IMO. the last thing you want is to have an accident and find the insurance doesnt pay out because of your filter. but also let us know if you think theres a difference bish, cos it sounds like a simple, and good value mod if it does work

dont think it will affect ur insurance because u keep the original airfilter box compared with an induction which remove the airbox and therefore change the characteristic of the engine!
