As some of you are probably aware from earlier posts of mine, I am moving back to the UK in the middle of march. I seem to be having trouble at the moment trying to get insurance quotes online. The only place that has given me a quote is Elephant at £960 for the year. I am 20 years old with three years NCD, could anyone recommend a company that will insure me at a reasonable rate. Thanks in advance

I'm with Admiral, they seem to be fairly good for young drivers

I believe the two of them are part of the same company. I have just done an AA quote and it was £2400!!
I will stick with elephant then.
Cheers guys

Yes Admiral and Elephant are same company, better off going with Elephant as it is internet based and cheaper...

Try Direct Line!

Im with them now, used to be with elephant but Direct Line beat them by miles... and you can earn your NCB if your on someone elses policy.

Thats why i went with them to build my NCB up.

O and btw they beats elephant quote by £300!!

Tony

Direct Line is good, not just price but very good service too with UK call centres. You get a 20% discount if more than 1 car insured with them in same household.

I looked at direct line and they wouldnt quote me online either. im going to have to phone some people i think if i want to go elsewhere. and by the way, elephant now give named drivers their own ncd too.

I used Norwich Union last year to insure my '06 plate . £280 fully comp, NCD protected.

I am getting my new next week and have had to ring Ford insure, (underwriten by Norwich Union), to get my first 7 days insurance so that they can tax my new .

To get the code for the garage, i had to have a quote....£825 !!!! That's me being 41, and 21 years without a claim!!

It was the same last year. I was quoted £600 and something on the phone, but when i was quoted online BY THE SAME COMPANY it was £280!

Yeh to get the fords 7 days insurance they quote you, mine was nearly treble what I am paying now.
Fords are best sticking to cars rather than insurance....hehe
