I suspect they are sending them in stages, otherwise there would be millions of Fiesta and Fusion drivers all trying to book in at their local dealer.

Has anyone had the mod done yet? If so what does it entail and can you feel any difference with the clutch or is this merely a safety problem?

Its a weeeeee clip on the push rod of the clutch. Apparently there's b*gger all difference and its more of a "just in case"/fix thing.

Just wondered because mine seems to be getting worse to change gear, when i engage the clutch no matter how smoothly it jumps as if I have just dropped it. It could just be me being paranoid!

Mine went in yesterday, and it doesn't feel any different at all to drive. Whatever it was that they fitted, it can't take long because they asked me if I want to wait while they did it!

Just got back from having mine done. It took ten minutes and the clutch feels just the same.

I've just been to my local dealer in crawley and they fixed it. It must have taken them all of two minutes. Can't have been to big a job, fortunately.

Well I finally got it done today... Here's a top tip:

DO NOT BOOK IT IN VIA THE SERVICE DEPT. JUST WALK STRAIGHT IN WITH THE LETTER AND ASK IF THEY HAVE SOMEONE ON HAND TO DO IT THERE & THEN.

I did this and avoided losing the car for half a day & some oik going out in it! It took the fella all of two seconds to fit it... What a fuss over something so small
