I'm thinking of getting security glass fitted to my car for added security and safety and was wondering if anyone here had ever had it fitted to one of thier cars in the past. The best quote ive had at the moment was for about £500 and just wondered what peoples opinions were. Any comment gratefully recieved.

Where are you planning to get it from? I ask as the quality varies. Some security glass istead of shattering just folds into two, making it even easier for the thief when they finally break it. The thing to remember though is that if someone wants it they'll usually have it, if it involves prising your door open then so be it. I personally would save the £500 knowing that a smashed window will only cost about £100 to replace.

Was planning on having the security Glass fitted by Pentagon in Reading, Berks. From what I can gather they seem to be one of the market leaders. Its not just a case of someone breaking in im concerned about but also the possibility of a side on collision. I'd rather the window stayed in one piece, instead of shattering and sending hundreds of pieces of glass hurtling towards myself. (And anyone else in the car for that matter). I do see what u mean though about someone breaking in. If they want to do something they will.
