Ok today I treated myself to a session (ooer) at Engine Advantages in Witham in Essex. Really nice fellas there. I have had my car rolling roaded a fair few times before but the last time (after having my exhaust fitted) the guys at Janspeed kept getting spikes on my torque curve so I've never known what it is.

So just to see that she really was 170bhp and what the torque was, I stood and nervously waited... Oh and took a few pics of the surrounding views

She isnt as clean as she seems... trust me...

It had the standard 148 as standard lol. I paid £55 for the power un. That dirty Cossie is quite well known. It was on Vroom Vroom (Sky's lame attempt at Top Gear) in the Horse Power Heroes section.

How do they measure the power at the flywheel/crank? I thought rolling roads were only capable of measuring power at the wheel?

It's always a bit disapointing to see the power knockdown at the wheels but hey, +20bhp at the crank for the mods you have is not bad!

crank is measured by s calculation of transmission loss. But it's always only an (pretty accurate) estimate of crank power. Like you say, really the ATW figure is the important one, but it doesnt seem to be what people go for!
