Hi there,

Okay, so my ST has just done over 10,000 miles and I've noticed the tyres, (the rear in particular), are thinning out on the outside edge. Has anyone ever had the tracking adjusted on the rear wheels of their ST before? It appears to me that the tyres, including the front, appear to be slightly off.

Thanks in advance!

My tracking was out when I got the car so they sorted it

When its next in the dealers, ask them to look at it mate.

Mine was'nt tracked properly from new and wore out the outer edge after 5,000 miles. Not happy about that...

I had to have mine re-tracked aswell. I noticed uneven tyre wear after about 1000 miles The dead giveaway that it was out was the steering wheel wasn't striaight when driving in a straight line

sorted it for me and it it o.k now.

I'm not sure if you can track the rear wheels on the fiesta.

yeay its not just me then. although the rear tyres were wearing on the inside for me, not the outside like yours. are the front tyres worn evenly or are they odd also? you can't align the rear wheels, they are what they are. but if your unsire take it to the garage and get them to check it out. my dealer told me the front wheels were out thats what was causing the back tyres to go funny. but he's a liar as the front tyres were fine. if the front was out by what he said, the front would have worn odly aswell. but they didn't. don't let them fob you off.

get it checked properly, you cant align the rear so it could be the same as mine

Our ST has gone now, got an 07 to replace it, but looks like my 06 ZS is going the same way too, getting it checked this week

Go to Elite Direct in Rainham. i used to work there doing trackings so ive seen A LOT of nasty tyre ware, although i never really saw any outside tyre ware on the rear. check your tyre pressures are correct. the rear axle doesnt have a regular adjustment but we can shim it to make it right. prices are 35.19 for the front, then another 30 if the rear neads shimming.
