Hi folks!!!

Im just lookin for general opinions on this issue as I am undecided as what to do. My previous car had black fade to silver tints on all windows except front of course! Ive got the red ST with white stripes and wonder if tinting would be the way to go!

Any pictures and opinions please!!!?

Yes definately tint your back windows. I had mine professionally tinted a few weeks ago & it looks stunning. I went for a darkish tint closest to factory tinted rear windows to keep my Red ST looking standardish.

Now all i have to do is fit my white or silver side stripes i got a few weeks ago. However since moving house i havent had the time

This is one of the things I am thinking of doing to my ST, not recived it yet. Its Frozen white with blue strips, what do you all reckon of having tinted windows?

mine is diamond white and full stripes and tinted windows and it look much better with it!! should have them!!

I didn't get mine as an option as they had none in stock but yeh defo recommend it. Think it will look the dogs on frozen white

Defo mate, the tinted rear windows really make the difference

I've also found it reduces the glare from headlights when looking in your rear view mirror!

yes true as well! the light seem less bright in ur rear view mirror!

tint the windows do the front two also put a slight tint on them as factry tint is s**t tbh and looks so much better when all windows are tinted

I am thinking of getting all my windows tinted.

I got my back ones as a factory option when I bought the car. Looks great!

Can I put in a REQUEST FOR PICTURES of STs with full tinted window?

That would be mucgh appreciated.

just be careful if you get the whole lot tinted, i dunno what the limits are and stuff, but i know the police used to be pretty hot on that sort of thing (front windows anyway). be a pain to go to all the effort of doing it to be told to take it off :/

The limits are:

Front windscreen 25% tint allowed.
Driver and passenger side windows 30% tinit allowed.
All other windows, unlimited.

As clear glass cuts down some light anyways, you might not legally get away with adding any tints to the front windows.

think its illegal to tinted ur windcreen! say that there a Green Daewoo Matiz driving around where I live who have a tinted windscreen! don't no how the guy can drive at night really!

Well... that information came from the a government website here:

It does say there that windscreens must allow at least 75% light through (hence my comment that 25% is allowed). In reality, due to glass cutting out some light anyways, there isn't much that you can change there.

you cant tint your front passenger/driver windows with out "breaking the law" but as long as it aint stupid dark and just has a light tint you wont get trouble off the cops as my last car was tinted on the front and didnt get any bother and a few of my mates all have them to, drive like a F***y and they will stop you and find something to do you with but if you never get caught they wont do nuttin to you

I know in France there no proper law on tinted windows! basically any window can in theory be tinted but if u have ur driver and passenger window tinted then they could fine u for it and ask u to get rid of it at place!
