I've just rang my Dealer the Bulid date now is 16th March
I'm so Pi**ed off now.I might just cancel it.What are Ford playing around at,i should have had my car 1st March the rate it's going it will be 1st March 2006 !!

Christ.. all this waiting around makes me not want to get one.

Hallmark I just dont understand the delays in builds. Perhaps going to Ford directly? I know it sounds like David vs Goliath but having a good whinge can get you places

Sarah - the delays seem so random! Not even certain dealership chains seem affected because Dougal got his from an SMC dealership quickly whereas mine (from a different branch) was heavily delayed.

Just spoke to my dealer today and he has my ST in his posession... they have to road test and register it etc. so should have it by early next week!

Ordered mine Monday and i was lucky they had one delivered with just delivery mileage which they had available so i got it! as soon as i sell my Corsa i can have it.

it was even luckier it was the colour i wanted!

Bristol Street phoned today,They confirmed it was being built today (March 16th).I don't know if i can believe them
You just lose confidence in people when they are not straight with you,Anyway they said it will be approx 4 weeks after the build date when i should recieve my ST.This would make me happy if i got my car on the 16th next month but i don't trust them anymore!!

Started ordering me ST couple of weeks ago but had load of trouble with the Finance! Then finally went with broadspeed got the car for £11366 with moondust silver paint! Better than exactly the same car over the road in the Ford shop which was up for £13995. As the dealership had the car I wanted in the warehouse I should hopefully get it beginning of April some time!
Tesco/Churchill/Nationwide i have to ring for insurance so will probably settle with elephant who gave me a quote of £1857 pretty mental. (19 yrs old 0 no claims)
Im still deciding whether to let Matey Boy deliver it to my door for free, or to get a train 150miles to collect the car myself. Any of you guys get your cars delivered?

i would pick it up if it were me, thats just something i would do

Could you tell me when you first ordered you ST

I'm looking at ordering through UK-Car-Discount.com in the next few days having sorted out finance (Alliance & Leicester 5.9% finance is approved, woo hoo!). They reckon the lead time on a "standard" car is about 2-3 weeks. I only want Colorado Red, no other options whatsoever. Do you reckon this is likely, or is the guy talking bollocks?

Let me know how you get on as i'm looking to order over the net.

Have booked a test drive for next week and can't wait
