humm it does look very good....I have fitted the K&N 57i and I did find the 2 airpipes you get with the kit that you feed from the lower grill to be a bit of a pain to put in plus a bit untidy as you see cable ties on the grey plastic

Without wanting to take the shine off it, but, those cone filters arent particularyl good on hot days as they draw alot hot hot air in from the engine and radiator-sapping power.

Best bet(if you havnt already) is to fit a ram air scoop on the front grille and feed it from there.

yes thats true! thats why u need lots of fresh air during summer time! say that can't be worst than the original system!

The induction kit will suck in a much larger volume of air regardless.
The talk of taking in hot air is taken too seriously in some cases as the difference in temperature
doesnt make a big difference in the effectiveness of the intake in many cases.
Cold air is preferable, but with the stock air intake being so restrictive, its not as though you can make it any worse.

to right cant believe the standard air filter has been placed on top of the engine with all them 90 degree bends and pipe's. Can see how they restricted the power now. Think im going for the pipercross induction kit rather than a panel filter as can gain far more horses for little money

Nice one Matt, although many people are of the opinion that k&n or green are the way forward!

trouble is been told that because the pipercross if foam (suppose like the green) it draws more air in therefore giving out more performance where as the k&n is a cone filter and restricts the air flow more now how true this is i dont know.

in recent tests i think it was in fast ford, the k&n actually performed the best (something stupid like +10bhp?! i really can't see that from an induction kit...). I went for the Green from personal recommendations, and i'm very happy with it.

think the gain in power is because the original air box is mounted on top of the hot engine block and the air has to travel through loads of 90 degree pipes to get into the engine

I have one!

It's very good. Can't fault it. I can't comment on dif between it and a normal cone myself but I know people that have changed and said they noticed a differece.

I have just mounted mine... removing the resonator box was real pain but my girlfriends father helped me ... sound is wonderfull and I can also feel the difference from stock intake only hope will not catch any water in the engine
