Hi, ive been brought over here by my girlfiend (feSTa).

I pick up my blue ST next saturday. I traded in my sportka for it.
Its a 55 plate with 9500 miles on and its getting stripes put on down the sides.
I cant wait!

I was fed up of trying to get my sportka faster so i decided to get rid for something with good power to start with. This was my KA, it had coilovers, miltek exhaust, piperX and was stripped out. Also had a 300 mm brake conversion.

Ill be sure to get some pics up but im sure youve all seen a blue ST before. Lol.

Welcome mate!
I had a sportka before my first ST and thought it was a cracking car. the handling of it was superb. what sort of power are you getting from her now then. That was always the thing i wanted with the sportka was a bit more power, and a 6th gear!

In think im going to go with white wheels again to compliment the white stripes.
Coilovers will defo be on the list, but first of all its gettin de tangoed.

The sport was only about 100bhp but it went very well for a KA!

A 17.1 quarter mile. Was running the same as a focus ST170. lol. He was a bit gutted i think.

SportKas are good, very nippy indeed. I drove one round the Isle of Man for a week a few years back, and really enjoyed it.

Indeed, and if the rumours are to be believed then the replacement Ka ST could be up to 120bhp.

It would be fun, but IMO people will probably opt for the fiesta still with its 150Hp.

Yup, and by the time the KaST comes out then hopefully the next Fiesta ST will be out which should be more powerful also.

Yay, got my ST on saturday and i am very pleased with its performance.
It flies compared to the sportka.

First things first i decided to get it tidied up. Although it was tidy when i bought it, with 10K on the clock it had the expected "mucky bits".
I started by cleaning it then got a meguiars clay kit.
Ive just finished claying it down and waxed the whole car and the results are incredible. A really nice deep shine and its brought out the metalic.

Next will be to paint the callipers and de-tango the front lights and side repeaters.

Ill try get pics up next weekend.

get yourself a second set of locking wheel nuts too mate the standard Ford ones arent' the best tbh. I got some mcgard ones which are supposed to be ok.

glad you are enjoying it was the sportka a good car though? ive had a few 1.3's as courtesy cars, and the actual handling was superb, just lacked the pace

The sportka is a blast to drive, i actually think for the fun factor the sportka is better, especially on the twisty roads.

I had a Sport Ka SE too, only reason Dan got one is cos he drove mine and loved the beast haha! They are great cars, handling wise and nippy little buggers. Sold mine for my ST and the handling on this is so much better, it doesnt dip when you change gear! Dan had a go in my ST and then wanted one. Think its contagious hehe!

The sportka was a bril little car. I had coilovers so the handeling was quite imense, however the ST isnt far behind even on standard springs but i can tell the differnce in weight when cornering between the ST and my striped out sportka!

As for its performance, up to 90MPH it was great but struggled to pull strong afterwards, although it saw 127MPH a few times.

Tanite im going to clean the engine bay and get it like new again, and hopefully thanks to feSTa i should have a K@N 57i kit ready to put on at the weekend.
