The above has been proffesionally fitted, but the stereo still rattles, according to the ford dealer there is a bracket fitted at the back to the standard fit 6000 double din cd player that stops it from rattling, that isn't on the alpine - does anyone know if they mean the white bit of plastic that sticks out from the back or is it something else? If so is it transferable, if not can you get a supporting bracket anywhere?

I don't know anything about the plastic bit which sticks out, but bottom line is it shouldn't rattle. In my experience the cage is a snug fit and therefore wouldn't rattle. I think as you have paid to have it fitted you should return it to them to sort out, that's shoddy work they've done if its rattling. Get your moneys worth!
