Here's a picture of it:

I'd hit someone from behind at low speed at a junction. I needed a new bumper, front left alloy, one new headlight and foglight, plus the washer bottle replaced. The other car needed the back bumper replaced.

It wasn't a major claim, just a few little things that added up.

Not a pretty site but it doesn't sound like they have penalised you too badly as a result. I was worried that if the worst did happen I would end up having to sell the car as the insurance would treble! Thanks for that.

If you are under your mother's name, try Esure as I am with them and my cost is under £300 a year. Mind you, I am an oldie and going through my boy racer phase for the 2nd time.
