Hi All,

Im taking my ST to puma build to have it lowered and an induction fit fitted, i am going for eibach springs and the chap there said it would be lowered 30mm on the front and 35mm on the rear, is this correct?? ive seen 20mm lowering springs also for the ST from eibach? am i having the correct ones fitted??

Anybody got any pics of a lowered ST?

cheers babyboom looks very nice, do you have any problems with tyres rubbing after it had been lowered?

Slam it to the deck!!

I had my old XR2i pretty low with 16 inch alloys, they rubbed a little on full lock, but the back was solid and had no chance of rubbing!

Not sure how it is with the ST, but BabyBoom's loks really good! also I think the turning lock is pretty poor on the ST so I wouldn't have thought you'd have much problem. Still BabyBoom will probably have the answer!

hey i did mine yesterday and there 45mm drop but just a word of warning when i came to do the fronts the nut on the top of the strut seased on so i have now ended up having to by two new front struts, might be a good idea to use a wd40 on the tops to let it sock in before doing it, any way mine is now sitting just over the tyres looks good i think will post a pic latter so u can see for your selfs

Yeh there is some debate as to whether its 20mm or 30-35mm with the Eibachs but ppl say its 20mm because the ST is already lower than a standard Fiesta. I have had my car lowered by around 45mm on coilovers and had no problems with scrubbing etc.

You MUST get your tracking done about a week or two after the springs have been fitted, because by then they have settled. Any tinkering with the wheels and suspension will knock it out. This will save you from uneven tyre wear.

Although our member who has lowered his by a whopping 60mm looks cool, I wouldnt like to see how quickly his wheel bearings etc wear out!

yer will sort out some pics for you the tyre is in the archs by about 2cm you will have to wait for some pics for a bit because i am trying to sort out the suspenstion prob first but as soon as i can i will post them, the camber tends to change a bit when lowering a car so the tracking being done is a good idea to save wear on the tyres.
