The images are hosted by the image uploader and its a little poorly at the moment. This is not our fault as a seperate company we pay looks after this. I hope they sort it out properly shortly.
I am currently in the process of backing up and re-hosting the major sections such as Meet & Event Archive and Write Up Archive so we will never lose the images that we have on their.
The issue is the fact that every image that is hosted on this board has a direct URL link to that specific sever... such as ...
www.uploader.co.uk/image/234234234 and if the site
www.uploader.co.uk is changed for
www.media.co.uk/image/234234234 then all the URL's on the whole board have to be changed... obviously if the company goes out of business we would never be able to recover the images in the first place to even rehost them.
The forum is backup up and will never go down but the images are externally hosted so i'm just getting things backed up just incase... It's nearly all done through a clever method which automatically re-points the URL of the images to my localhost or any server i upload to... which is very useful
I hope this explains things clearly to everyone.
I am sorry for the issues we are having but I hope everyone can bare with us on this one... it's just a case of us waiting.
