Does the ST come with an Alarm as standard or just the immob?

I didn't think mine had one until while browsing the Ford car details pages and the car i've bought comes up as "blah blah blah Airbag - Driver, Alarm, Body Coloured blah blah blah".

I've never had any squeaks when locking or unlocking and im sure i've given it a nudge while its been deadlocked.

Apart from sticking a brick through the window , any way for me to check?

Ta.

Yes, if you lock the car with the remote, pressing the lock button twice. And leave the car for a minute or so and then unlock the boot using the remote without unlocking the car first - then the alarm will go off. But be warned it may deafen you

Soon as i get it back, might park it in the drive and try it from the bedroom

Obviously when someone is walking past it or similar. Just hope it doesnt open the boot, make zero noise and they storm in and nick everything...

Leave your window down, arm the alarm, after a min or two put your hand into the car, should deafen the whole street.

Unlock the boot with the key (not the remote) and the alarm will go off.

Well...

It seems the alarm does work, although i could of been mistaken and just heard some kids going past pressing a 99p shop horn on their bike..... or a knat farting a few times... or someone dropping a box of pins....

So what would happen if i didnt have the remote to turn the alarm off? Suppose i should read my book really

you can switch it off by turning the key in the drivers door lock....unless of course you have put a delock cover on like I have so I am screwed if my 1 remote packs up

Almost correct. You can get in using the non-remote/plain key if you've put the alarm on with the remote, but you then have 15 seconds to put the key in the ignition and turn it to position 1 otherwise the alarm will go off (you'll hear a chime as soon as you open the door).

Pays to keep a spare battery in your wallet etc. just in case.
Could even tape one inside the fuel flap, no harm done.
Never tried to open flap with alarm set, so will need 2 try that one sorry

I could still open the car using my Clifford remote just means the "oh so loud!" Ford alarm would be bleeping while I unscrew the delock to get into the key lock & switch it off
