Having had a look over the K&N filter the other day, I noticed the cone of the K&N had become slightly damaged after rubbing against a piece of plastic on the inner body-work. Is it possible to buy a new 'head' for the filter? Or does the entire thing need to be re-purchased?

If its damaged a tiny amount then its fine really (take a pic?). What could be happening is that the cone is knocking/rubbing against the bracket that holds the ECU. Check this and if it is just give the hose or cone a quick turn to slightly move it away.
