hi
just been on a test drive and wondered if someone can offer me advice.
car is a dec 06 on a 56 in blue, has privacy, esp, eatc, full leather and bluetooth. just under 10 on the clock and with a dealer at 9900. one owner and was serviced jan 08. it has the other square 6 disc multi change if that helps
on the drive the car seemed to have a little more resistance when turning right as opposed to left and on a straighr road pulled to the left when no hands, dealer said that this may have been tyre pressures put sis not a scuff on the n/s front alloy.
also it has full leather and i thought this was heated but he could not confirm that and was not able to find the button and he not have manual to hand. I know heated is an option in current version, wondered if someone can advise.
also what other changes were there between this model and the current other than the ice head.
regards

Get them to check/adjust the tracking - common ST problem.
Make sure the tyres are not worn on the inside edges - common ST problem
The heated seat buttons are on the seats themselves at the front near to the centre console.
Offer £9000 for it, they paid about £7500 to £8000 for it, then go up from there.
The steering does pull a bit (tram lining) due to the tyres being so fat and a very low profile. Also the front track on the ST is considerably wider than the rear and each end of the car tends to argue with each other a bit.
Other changes from 06my were standardisation of the MP3 socket and the leatherette gearshift gaiter.
Does the car have the technology pack as well ? (Folding mirrors and auto lights/wipers)

hi they paid 9300 for the car yes it does have tech pack. folding mirrors and auto lights,
he said for 9989 he would give 6 months tax, side stripes and parking sensors. a tank of fuel and refurbish the alloy could seal the deal once i am happy with the day the car felt
also the tyres (on one corner at least were 205/40zr17) is this correct

Walk away, pleeease. £9998 would bye you an '08 plate, brand new, if you shop around. Extras such as parking sensors etc does not mean a thing on the salesmans classis guide. And as for 6 months tax and some petrol , he's taking the pi**. Don't be nice to the fella just because he is nice to you, thats his job! I have just chopped my Silver '07 in with full stripes and privacy glass, they gave me £8500 for it. Shop around.

And just remember, you don't have to fall in love with the first one you see.
The Fiesta ST is a mass produced car, there are 1000's of them, all the same.
Take your time
