an old style MR2 blew me away today, held him off in 2nd then he shot past in 3rd, think it was higly tuned, had lots of stickers on it "race...." something or other.
Nipped to see my brother for a long overdue 2nd drive of his wrx and blew everyone else away instead.............

Some of them are Turbos.

Im sick of being blown away off shitty old cars.

Think a upgrade to the focus ST is needed.

Does any 1 know if you can just simply upgrade on the pcp deal obviously with a added cost????

Nothing wrong with MR2s!! Arguably better built than any Ford!!
It is annoying though to get rinsed by the older cars, the ST isn't just about straightline speed though of course.

Like Scotty said there are quite a few turbod MR2s around and the ST would not stand a chance, probably same for Focus ST.

As regards your PCP deal, they can arrange an upgrade but it will likely cost you bucks if you aren't far through the existing agreement.

well I know with mine at 18months through the 36 month package (I'm not that far yet) it will cost me £8,500 to buy out, and judging by current market values I won't even get that so I would be owing a bit there, plus any deductions they may make for condition of car and then if you don't put a deposit on your next pcp it's obviously going to cost more... At 7 months though, unless you had put a big deposit I bet you have a lot of negative equity unfortunately so it's probably an expensive move. Best bet is to call them to calculate it for you, my thought is it will set your monthly premium a lot higher.

Back on topic.
The Fiesta isn't a fast car as standard. It's 150bhp and isn't exactly lightweight. It does handle VERY well but on the roads (your normal day to day driving) there's loads of other cars that'll beat you.
If you want to race others, then book a day at say, Mallory Park, don your helmet, gloves, and go for a race the 'proper' way. Then the MR2 that you got 'blown away' by, will be very much nearer to you I guess.

Speak to Puma-Build, they do some very nice packages for the Focus ST. My mate has been using them for most of his. Has a Stage 7 turbo fitted, running about 360bhp at the moment.

mr2 can be very fast especially turbo version and there easy to tuned to get lots more BHP
