Just a thought Scotty, try remnaming the files the same as they are but all in lowercase. UNIX can be a bit odd like that. We use AFPS at work so that a lot of our File and Printer servers are UNIX even though you log onto a Windows PC. If a file contains any uppercase characters, you can't see them through windows file mapping, even though they are there when you check it on a UNIX session.

A bit of a long shot, but it is worth testing...

In lowercase!!!

You avatar is actually stored on the forddesktops site. (Right-click and check the source to confirm). Are you sure the server you're hosting from allows hot-linking? Some sites prevent it by giving a red X, others force it to a "you're not having my image boyo" page and others just return the url of the image. best to check that out me thinks...

My site allows direct linking to any forum to view images etc...

Linking works on every site except this one

Hope you can sort the problem out Hugh as it would make it a fell of alot easier and also reduce used memory on the server!!!

Bugs need to be reported, otherwise they never get fixed. We need to ensure that this is working tickety-boo and the only way that's possible is from rigerous testing..!

Just noticed something. When you upload an image it gives the tags as [img] and [/img] however when you link an external image, it uses [image] and [/image]

I tried changing the tags on the failing image without success though...

Ok craig... thx for trying this is one major thing that needs to be rectified asap!!!
