I have a 1998 ford fiesta. I can smell a strong smell petrol but it is running fine. what could this be

It's leaking somewhere from the tank to the engine, get it checked out.

Or the air filter is clogged and it's running rich

When this happened to my mk5 it turned out the fuel filler neck had gone.
