Just thought I'd list out all the 'things' that I have experienced with my , in the five weeks since I have owned it:

Within 20 minutes of picking the up from dealer: Noticed that the '12v accessory blanking plug' was missing - picked up car late in evening so phoned dealer the next day, and promptly recieved one in the post. Sorted.

Fiesta owner's guide/manual: The issue I got does not cover car data/tyre pressures etc. I believe that some people have got the correct manual, if you do, could you please post the code for it so I can hassle my dealer for a new one! (Should be inside front cover - my manual has got CG3418en RHD 11/2003).

TIP - For those of you without tyre pressures, they are on the inside of the passenger door pillar.

TIP - READ YOUR MANUAL - i was too excited and just kept driving the . Then it rained........ put the intermittent wipe on (used to be variable on my Focus), and it wiped about every 12-14 seconds, rubbish I thought - then read the manual you can program the intermittent timing from 1-25 secs by putting the intermittent on, then turn off, then turn back on after the desired time, to set the speed!! .

First week: checked oil after reading 'no friggin oil' post - eeeeeeeeeeeek - barely a mark on the dipstick, topped up by about 1/3 litre - now ok!

Steering wheel not straight when driving in straight line/level camber: Had the wheel alignment checked, needed re-alignment at 200 miles (no knocks to the wheels or anything). My Focus had a similar problem in the fact that it wore out the insides on the front tyres by 9000 miles - tyre company said probably due to not being set up correctly, also hadn't whacked any kerbs etc. Will always get the alignment checked on a new car from now on (seems very strange to me that it is not correctly aligned straight out of the factory?).

Splutter: I too have had splutter/no go at 30 mph in fourth. It lasted for about 5 to 10 secs then went away. Just put it down to being started when hot, and it has not reappeared, but will keep an eye on it!

Alloy Wheel nut cover plate: One of them was damaged/miss shaped, got a new one under warranty.

Boot switch: Very annoying that you can't open boot with engine running - worked fine in my Focus!

Driving position a bit too high for me.

But apart from all that..........

It still rocks and I'll be mostly takin' the 'B' roads to work then
