Hello everybody.

I've been looking at cameras and I was wondering if dslr's are any good? And how much is it for a starter camera? I havnt really done any photography before but I'm interested in starting.

This one is right up my street (am a semi pro tog ) How much have u got to spend? I'm guessing ur not after anything too advanced?

I have read sooooo many posts from members who have attended a meet saying that they will invest in a better camera for the next meet-up.

DSLR's are the best, thats why they are so expensive.

It really comes down to what your budget is.

Any DSLR is fully Automatic for the quick family party shots etc; but being an SLR it can be transformed, via the menues, to Fully Manual Mode, thereby taking creative, fast moving, magical portrated shots... the list is endless.

The lenses are what makes the pics, so what kind of photography are you looking at taking?
