MPH + Top Gear Live + Classic Car Show - 15th Nov 08
As a few of you will know. Me, Bex and Gavin (my possible to-be step brother) whet to this show which was booked by the rents for us.
We got to the show in the morning and got into the halls at opening time and had a look around the trade stands first before going into the car show.
If anyone hasn't been before then how it works is the avertising is done as MPH (Top Gear Live) Show which is on 1 Hall and contains Trade stands and the Studio for the Top Gear Show... then you can go into the Classic Car show which covered about 4-5 Halls... If you got tickets for the Classic Car show you couldn't go into the MPH.
We had VIP tickets for both shows so got special treatment.
Anyway, onto the point... after going through the trade stands we seen a Land Rover experience and decided to have a go... there was a queue of about 60 people which took us about 45mins to get to the front... it was then split up into just passanger and driver experience... so in other words you could get taken around 1/2 the circuit with a land rover driver or you could get that and also one of your group drive the other 1/2 instructed by the professional land rover instructor... we decided to wait and opted Bex to drive as 1. Shes a girl and 2. I have a super car experience day for next year anyway.
The pics below show the course. I will just add a comment that the instructors LOVED BECKY and that she was driving!!!
A few sets of related images to show you what was there.
Quote: well I think they're all awesome pics and i'm very jealous I wasn't there!
Thank you very much, it was hard to compile so many pictures into a post without it looking silly. I'm unsure as to if people are managing to view the post and images... let me know if you are people as i'd like to adopt this approach with future posts like this.
The show was really nice... the classic cars were in mint condition... a blast from the past.
Jeremy was really funny and witty esp when he came up into the stands.
Some very good pics there, and it looks like you had a wicked time there. Especially loving some of the classic Fords there.
Just to note, I am able to view the images, but I just found it very slow to load up the post the first time. Subsequent viewings it's loading very easy.

lol @ you and Micky with this post... i did warn people in the title lol.
The reason you won't have a problem now Chris is because the images... well swf files will have saved to your internet file cache. It's all good

You buggered my pc!!! Nothing would work and i had to use the reset button on the front
PMSL... i'll be honest... the first time i did it on my laptop the files were not as smooth as they are now and it crashed it clean out.
I've tried to make it as best as possible... I could reduce the file size of the swf files but that would have de-graded the images... i'll look for a medium in between next time i do this to try and make the post easier to access.
I wanted to put as many pics as possible on this thread without making it unreadable... I think this method has worked quite well... I even give the user a bit of control on the pictures
