I'm just getting my foot in the door with the modding scene and need somebody to point me in the right direction...

I am absolutely in love with the RGB halo/angel eye mods some people are running on their cars and am looking to get some for myself but I have no clue where to look to either get the bits to do it myself so was hoping somebody may stumble across this and would be able to give me some pointers..
I have seen cheap White LED rings on places like AliExpress but have no idea of the quality and am really looking for some RGB rings. Also, they seem to have no frosting or diffusion layer so is just a ring of LEDs, is this noticeable/Would I need to look into getting some form of diffuse/frosting to smooth the ring out?
