Was driving around tonight and all of a sudden the dashboard light flashes and says EAC Failure, car didn't seem to drive around smoothly turned it on and off it went away but came back later on. I was reading up and some people say its the pedal that needs replacing?

Has anyway else had this problem?

My car has done that couple of times. But very rarely.

Almost always a sign that the throttle body is dirty and requires cleaning.
When it gets gummed up the butterfly can stick open sometimes and send the EAC fail warning on.

Ah, hopefully that's what the problem is then! Will give it a clean today.

Just was speaking with a mate, he said if I take the throttle body off, normally you should replace the gasket?

As long as you don't damage it taking it off there's no need

Ok cheers for the heads up, took it out today seemed to be ok, was raining so didn't get round to cleaning it, but will probably do it Monday and will hopefully fix the problem.

Gave the throttle body a bit of a clean yesterday, seemed ok. Gave it a full clean today, car seems to be fine and EAC Failure hasn't shown again so hopefully that was the cause!

Cheers guys!
