Hello!

My air conditioning is not working properly. When I start the car it works fine for 20 minutes, then warm air will come out instead of cool air.

Allow the car to cool and restart will solve the problem but it will appears again after 20- 30 minutes.

No changes in coolant level is spotted, the car shows no sign of overheating. Speed of the car, road condition and ambient temperature seems doesn't have any effect on the problem.

Could anyone shed some light on this problem?

I am not good in this mechanics stuff. Could you tell me what does 're-gas' means?

I have been using the air conditioning everyday so what causes the sudden breakdown of it?

Thank you sir!

The re-gas consists of all the gas currently in your AC system removed and new fresh gas pumped in.

Takes about an hour all together as your driver side headlight needs to be removed. Costs about 50-80 depending where you go.

Will freshen up your AC producing cool air again

If you are suddenly lost cold air, you may have a leak...get who ever tops up your AC to check for leaks first.

Hope this helps.

thank you very much for yor info.

just curious. if my system has a leak, the gas leaks away, then why when i restart it is ok again for 20 - 30 minutes?

someone says the it might be the compressor pump (whatever alike, i forget), but he also says that if it is the compressor pump it is not likely everytime i let the car cool for an hr and restart it gives me 20-30 minutes cooling.

any expert have an idea?

Get down to kwikfit - they will re-gas your car and if your not happy or more specifically once re-gassed and the air still blows warm, you get your money back.

Might be worth a shot as like Robbopt said might just need freshening up
See the bellow link -

hi!

my mechanic regassed the system but it doesn't help. the air con blow cooler air, but again only for 30 minutes.

my car only gives cool air in the first trip of the day. it means i drive to work with in the morning the air con works fine, and no luck when i drive home in the evening....

i dropped my car with my mechanic, but he was not sure of what is going on. he suggested the temp sensor or circuit stuffs, i understand it means he has no ideas at all.

i am depressed, and probably will die of heat exhaustion soon. rip...

Mine stopped working the other week and it turned out to be a one of the pressure sensor wires had chafed on the air con pipe that comes from the receiver.
