Hi

I have been designing this conversion for a while now but recently I have lost interest really tbh and with a garage full of stuff which isn’t going on my car but is draining my account, I think it’s probably best I sell it on nearly finished as I have done 90-95% of it. There has been a lot of interest in one of these conversions for a long time now and after collecting certain items when they are available and designing some custom parts to fit it all together, the conversion should allow a much improved return in mpg on normal driving and also a much lower rpm on motorway driving.

Please note I have not fitted this to a car but unfortunately spend a sad amount of time with them so I am pretty confident that everything should fit together nicely.

What is included in the conversion:
Compatible 6-speed gearbox
6-speed gear linkage and gear lever including bracket to connect lever to the ST shell.
6-speed conversion driveshaft parts
New block mount
AP racing custom organic clutch (RRP £300+ - Please read below as needs a tweak)
OEM gearbox lower bracket and conversion lower mounts (polybushing is available for an extra £40)
Parts to connect ST clutch line to the 6-speed slave (I can buy a new one for £50 extra – please don’t skimp on one lol)

Whats still needed
I haven’t gotten around to making a top mount for it yet. I may try and make a jig up this weekend to make one.

Also with the AP racing clutch, my measurements were very slightly out for the holes to fit the ST flywheel and as such the clutch will need the holes for the flywheel elongating slightly.

It’s a great opportunity to have a proper one off and perfect for a car that does a lot of miles. If the slave or clutch has gone it’s a perfect time to change over and sell the IB5. Price really does not reflect the silly hours that has gone into finding the parts and designing bits etc

Price is 850 posted

Thanks, Si

what if you pay for the box and if anything goes wrong Si can fix and repair it? get a written warranty between you.

you can't get it for free even if your testing the box out thats someone hard earned work there.

Id love a six speed gear box, especially if it meant my Piper decat back was quiet on the motorway lol! But Id rather spend the money on other things. Sounds like a steal for someone whos after one tho!

would be good to see a video with one fitted going through the gears etc - fiesta always feels like it could do with shorter ratios 3-4-5 and could do with a 6th!
