As long as your parents drive the car ocassionally it would be fine. Insurance is there to cover the people named on the policy. I don't see how they can say it's illegal for you to be a named driver. Just another money making scam!

I explained this to ford insure and they were fine with it being in Cassies name and me a named driver. Even though i'll be driving it most of the time.

I guess all companies are different.
