It was a decent race and just unfortunate that the crash robbed us of what I think would have been a very exciting finish, had Alonso and Vettel in particular tried to hang on with very worn tyres for another six laps.

I don't think there is anything in the conspiracy theories (even remembering that Nelson Piquet Jr did deliberately crash a few years ago). Three fast drivers racing one another and trying to lap a pack of several drivers also bunched up and racing another and also trying to lap yet another driver in front of them (one of the Force India's I think?). On a narrow circuit like Monaco it was an accident waiting to happen.
