They put just one hump out of the blue along the road. The car slammed into the bump stops and it made a hell of a bang. I heard metal clanging on the road behind me as if something fell off (no idea what) and the obd port cover came off. No visible damage to the wheels but I bet it's caused some buckling. If it's caused damage then write to the council asking for compensation for the damage caused since they've acted illegally. Read pages 39/40 of this government document which shows it's illegal for councils to install speed humps anywhere outside of London, and even in London only with permission of the Secretary of State for Transport:
