Right, i searched on google for "card recovery".

Downloaded the software

Plugged the camera in to the usb port... but it didnt appear in "My Computer" as a letter (like c: is your hard drive)

So i went to PC world and bought an actual SD card reader (£9.99)

Plugged it in, bunged the card in, fired up the software

Be warned: some software will take ages, tell you its recovered your precious pictures, then will ask you to buy the serial key to unlock the software to the full version (FAT CHANCE!)

I downloaded a different one which saved them as it recovered them

Also, it only recovers recentish piccies and even then there not garunteed to be viewable(some were a bit messed up)
