went to get my car valued for part-ex today. £7250 at one garage and £8000 at the garage i bought it from. Its only 2 years old with 25k on the clock. i could have died right there.
altho they did try to sell me a brand new electric orange focus St-3 with all the optional extras for only 10345 + my car which i thought was quite good if i had been wanting one

Those are some pretty good prices you got there Amanda. I know of phase 1 owners with 20K mile cars struggling to sell them for £7,000 - £7,700. I'd take that £8,000 offer right away. You'd be darned lucky to sell it privately for that.

Not a bad price I guess for a car of that age.

i know its a good price but i cant afford to sell it atm. thats what im bothered about. and the older it gets, the less its worth. its a horrible vicious cycle. i was hoping i'd get 8k for it at 3 years old. i'll be driving it till it stops working i think!

I shouldn't worry too much, the depreciation will slow down! I am banking on mine being worth about 6 - 6.5k at 3 years old, and I can't see why it shouldn't be at the moment in current market conditions!
