Try maplins 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack if your stereo has one.

Am I right in saying that some aux sockets are at the back of the radio.

The 6006 radio has an aux socket but you need a cable from Ford (costs about £7) and the other end is a female 3.5mm jack (meant to be installed by the gear lever)

For me there is no problem I have the socket next to the gear lever its standard on the ST from 07 onwards. but if you where converting from a 6006 to something a little better you might find that the stereo has a lead from the back that has a female socket and you need to do a bit of DIY to sort. lol

If you have a facelift Fiesta ST without the AUX port then you will need to get the audio adapter kit. The FINIS number is 1426121. You will also need to remove your stereo in order to connect it, so you will require some stereo keys - or ask Ford/Halfords to take it out for you.

You will then require a 3.5mm jack male to male lead - Ford do sell these, FINIS 1358534 - however most electrical type stores (i.e. Currys/Comet etc) will stock these.

If you have a pre-face lift Fiesta ST (one with the 3 "sections" of Stereo) then i'm afraid its not possible to connect the AUX lead, as these do not have AUX port on the back of the stereo.

As mentioned *most* 07 plate ST's will come with the AUX port next to the cig lighter, however not all, as mine is an 07 however doesn't have the port (as it was built December 06 but registered March 07 - I believe it was ST's built from Jan-Feb 07 onwards).

You can purchase the parts you need from Ford Parts UK

Wonder if you can help...

Mine is a new 57 plate just purchased, which leads do I need to connect my iPod? Also, I'm guessing it doesn't make a difference what generation or type the iPod is?

Thanks.

Nope, the type of iPod won't matter. I'm assuming the 57 plade comes with the AUX-In as standard (by the gear knob). IF so, all you'll need is a 3.5mm jack (male-to-male). Something like this:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=11422&criteria=3.5mm%20male&doy=21m9
