Hi, just started my car this morning and theres a funny noise as if something is moving in the engine bay. It goes away soon as the engine has settle to an idle. Just to check I opened the bonnet and started the car and there seems to be a hell of a lot of movement of the engine as the car initally starts and idles. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem.

I think it's the aircon pipes knocking on the gearbox or steering rack.

I've heard a few people mention this so it must be quite common.

Mine does it on first start up as well.

Does it happen when you suddenly floor it?

Mine does this as well almost sounds like the tappets are no goos but as soon as it going its ok, dont worry think its ok, had mine checked with ford they said they couldnt hear anything, but there again they say that about everything.
