ChrisCumbria Driving as Daily Registered: 26/06/05 Posts: 23742 Loc: Whitehaven, Cumbria	The Member Write Ups on this site have taken a little bit of a back seat for a while now, but we are now planning on getting them up and running once again. For those of you who haven't been on the site for long I'll just briefly explain what happens here. What will happen is that every two weeks a member will be picked at random from those who have said they wish to do this, and you will be required to take pictures of your car what ever the weather is. Lots of shots of your car to post up and maybe also a short description on it. You must only take the photo's the week you are asked... what ever the weather is. We can then see how the pictures develop through the seasons and how people take pictures in the sun/dark/gloomy/rain/snow. You will also need to do a short write-up as well. Basically giving a short description about yourself, your interests etc. Also writing a bit about your car, how you've found it, what your dealership experience has been like, any modifications you've made etc. There were quite a few people who weren't drawn out of the hat the first time we did this: FiestaRS ben_st Nick02 Andytran LegEnd Si_Had Tony DeKris Jonno Steve1981 STozz Calv_st Micky TheMinstrel Richt Fordie LizzyG Scooby626 iDan Julie Stifler Jo linco23 gnasher Ste ESS_TEE daddyp If anyone else is interested in this idea then please just add your name to this thread and then I can add your name to the draw. I'll add a Global Announcement about if anyone wants to be taken out... the whole point is not to spend 8 hours cleaning your car and waiting for a sunny day. It's about creating your own shoot... Make use of nature... keep your car dirty and use some run down areas for a shoot... make it look Rally Style... Do anything!!! Take photos of your car stuck in traffic in a city... anything and everything!!! I'm going to try my best to think of a great idea when it's my turn... at least i have my car lol... would have been quite funny me doing it when my car was 150 miles away last year!!! _________________________

With regards to what to put... obviously some description of where you've taken your photos, and maybe why you've chosen those locations. Then after that... it's up to yourself, but just as a few suggestions... in some of the previous ones the main points have been a little bit about yourself, and your interests etc. Also, a bit about your ST, how you find it, what your experience has been like with your dealer, and about any mods that you've made. _________________________

It has sat a week while i was on holiday and it decided it wanted to not start this morning and have a sulk, it wasn't even trying at all, just made a tiny whirr. so i had to get a lift to work. anyways dad says its sorted now - its wouldnt start for him either, then it was only firing on one cylinder, then it decided to start, so hopefully it should be ok tomorow. Lots of shots of your car to post up and maybe also a short description on it. You must only take the photo's the week you are asked... what ever the weather is. We can then see how the pictures develop through the seasons and how people take pictures in the sun/dark/gloomy/rain/snow. You will also need to do a short write-up as well. Basically giving a short description about yourself, your interests etc. Also writing a bit about your car, how you've found it, what your dealership experience has been like, any modifications you've made etc. Basically though it's up to yourself as to what you wish to write though and can be as short as long as you like. If anyone else is interested in doing this who isn't in that list above then please just add your name to this thread and then I can add your name to the draw. It is a completely random selection, and the next draw will take place on the 1st of February. Regards Chris _________________________

I see loads and loads of cleaned and polished car photos on this site but the most interesting ones are those that are natural and use the landscape or surroundings and the car in it's natural state... There was a few pics in black and white of the ST in the snow... these are really nice pics imo... but any thing would be good to see how that sort of setting can or could be used. _________________________

That amount of snow was crazy, especially the way it seemed to come along all of a sudden as well. It was snowing lightly on and off all morning and then just went BANG and put down a foot and a half of snow in about an hour. I was still at school at the time and it was quite good since I got nearly a week off because of that. People I work with have told me tales about what happenned there. Some had no choice but to literally live there for a couple of days as they couldn't get home. Someone else who had a 4x4 did manage to give a few people a lift as far as Whitehaven, 10 miles away, which was where it was worst and then had to give up as they couldn't get any further - and even that had took him 8/9 hours to do! Crazy. _________________________

For those who won't know, that was taken at this site's very first ever event back in 2005.
