Hi Guys,

Wonder if you can help me? For the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed when driving my car (with just my foot on the accelerator) that all of a sudden the engine starts to break, the car loses power, the accelerator peddle stiffens up and if you press the accelerator peddle down to get more power nothing happens . Upon changing gear something seems to release itself and everything seems fine again. It happens about once/twice every journey. I'm not sure what it is, anyone else experienced the same problem ? Thanks in advance

No idea what that may be but i'd get it booked in to your dealers asap, sounds pretty strange though

i had a problem on my old st with no real pull when you wanted to give some with my right foot,i took both st,s(mine and the missus)to the dealer who drove them both back to back, they could not find what the problem was,the missus st was a rocket, eventually i got shut and now i have another st which is potent.
i would take it back to dealer and get the service manager to take your st out with you and see what he thinks.

Thanks all for your quick replies. I think as you say the best thing would be to take it back to the dealers. I haven’t had much luck with this car this is 5/6 time it will be going back (due to 5/6 separate usually major problems) and it's not even a year old!

It's hard to explain what happens and if i take it back it probably won't do it while at the dealers. I will chance it anyway and see what they say. By the way is there anyone you can complain to at Ford if you are not happy with your car!! Many thanks

you really need to speak to the dealer principle and kick up a stir in the showroom, don,t take any flack tell them to get it sorted as its under warranty and ask for a courtesy car whilst yours is in,you have to be cruel to be kind i learnt that with ford a long time ago.
