Hi,

My car is in ford just now had a new air sensor fitted and i am awaiting a instrument cluster coming in to be fitted too.

I have a squeaky clutch pedal and i asked if they could sort it out and they told me that the car is outwith the 1 year warranty for this?? Is this nonsense ???

If anyone has had the same problem is it easy to fix ??

yeh mines does that found the easiest thing to do was just turn up the music problem fixed

I don't have a squeak as such, but i do have what .... what i can only describe as the springy noise when i used to press the accelerate trigger on the old scalextric controller.

the squeeky clutch/spring noise is a "feature" i think all Mk6's have it just have to keep greasing or WD40ing it

If its treat properly then it should be solved. Mine squeaked when I first got it and I asked to dealer to sort it out. They sprayed something on it, not sure what, and its been fine ever since (over two years now).

mine does it too - was solved by the garage with some lubricant of some sort however about 2 months later its back!! - will try the WD-40 down the back of the pedal

think its a common fault on the fiesta in general. Its just a simple oil job and the squeak should go away
find it hard to believe how they are counting it as an interior trim fault when its more mechanical

Hi, FYI squeak ( spring noise ) comes back every time with WD 40,use Castrol chain wax spray or something similar and it will be cured. its awkward to spray, i used a small mirror to see to top of pedal. Aim for pivot pin and spring.

I had a squeak but got a letter saying that there was a potential clutch problem and they were recalling certain models to fix it. Mine went in, the mechanic took it way and it came back "fixed" and the squeak has gone!!!

There was an issue where some Fiestas (and Fusions) had to be recalled due to a clutch problem, whereby they had to add a washer to the clutch pedal, see this thread here:

As far as I was aware though, that was a separate fault to the squeaky clutch.

Lol thats it! ig ot that problem but some days it goes away some days its there great decription.
