Hi i have a 96 ford fiesta 1.3 cabriolet and my front wipers have jammed. it appears the motor is still working as they move a little bit. it was strange as they were working fine and then one day, went to use them and the right wiper was going so far right it was off the windowscreen. messed with the bolts a little and it doesnt do that anymore but now they just move about half an inch up and down and it keeps raining!!!

any help or ideas on how to fix this would be most appreciated.

When you say 'messed about with the bolts', does that mean you tightened them up? Try not to overtighten them.

If the motor is still heard to be working it may be that the wipers are slipping on the splines.

Try removing and then re-fitting them, taking care that the wipers marry up on the splines. Keep us informed.
