Well the time as finally arrived when i have had enough of thieves nicking bits off my pride & joy.
As of next Friday i will be taking delivery of a brand new Volvo S40 1.6 S. I know its not a rocket machine but i really need something that wont attract attention to thieves.
The ST is a good sporty car and i will sadly miss the fun driving it, but i have had enough.

Would like to say thanks to all on the forum for your help & humour in the past, will check you out from time to time.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are chopping your in due to the state of the world today... It's crazy that people who work hard for things they want and enjoy nice things can't have them for fear of them getting wrecked.

I personally think you did the right thing and I respect what you did. I bet you found it hard to do that... and when you have to hand your keys over for your I bet it will be a sad moment, rather than a happy one for getting the Volvo.

Please stay with us and let us know about your S40... get pics up etc.

Thanks for the support Scott, I really think handing the keys over next Friday will be a hesitation and deep down there will be a few silent goodbyes, but at the end of the day I cannot afford to keep the thieving scum bag in pocket/drug money.

Sorry to hear you have had to do this, I did the same thing in May this year and swapped my ST for a Mini after I had the ST's bumper nicked (yes, I live in Brum!).

Sorry to hear this. It is a shame that the world has come to this but you need to do what you can to protect yourself. Keep on the forum though as you are a valuable member and good to have around.

Certainly a shame you've been forced into this position. It's so unfair that these parasites exist and have forced you to take this action.

One of the guys in work has a lease Volvo S40 and in fairness it's a nice car, although painfully slow as it's a 1.6 diesel!! Anyway all the best and make sure you get the pics up and stay on at the site

Thats really awful thing to have to do but totally understand why... can't believe how many scummers there are that think taking other peoples stuff is ok

I can really understand your reasons for this decision Michael, but to be forced into a corner to make this move makes me so .

I can go on for ever on this subject: kids, upbringing, schools, respect, discipline!! etc. So i won't.

hey man sorry to hear this mate, bet ur cut up pretty deep, if its any consolation, a few weeks back i hit a chav for spitting on my car while i was in it. he fell back and bumped his head on the curb and pissed off.
