I have had it a couple of time if turning fast over bumpy ground. It has happened only a couple of times. I wasn't sure of it was anything to worry about or not!!

I've noticed it does tramline along ruts in the road a hell of a lot more than my old car did, the wheel sometimes really wants to pull away from you, but I can live with that! Is this what you meant Hallmark?

The tramlining is just down to having fat tyres.....common problem, worth it for the looks though!

What sort of noise is this steering knock?
I have a slight grinding or rubbing noise when going round a tight corner, (sounds a bit like when you drive over a rough surface) But funnily enough if you go slowly it doesnt do it, so maybe its just the tyres making the noise as they grip the road round the bend? (and she does like those bends as i tested earlier!)

It's more like a clicking noise when you round a corner hard

Anyone get any resolution for this?
Mine has begun doing the same thing when cornering hard. I'm watching it pretty closely to see if it gets worse or something falls off...

I have now done about 7800 miles in mine. The steering column noise is there when cornering fast-ish over a rough service, however it has not got any better or worse since I first got the car so I'm not really concerned. Just seems to be one of those things!

Agreed, if it suddenly changes I'll take it to the dealer but seems ok for now.
