Hello everyone, as you can prob tell from the numbers of posts Im a noob, and was wondering if you could answer a question for me. I currently own a 1.8 TDCi focus, the 2004 model, and before that a 1.4 fiesta Zetec which I loved. I am currently thinking of getting a Fiesta ST, but cant quite decide. I can get it for £10000 new, ford voucher price. The dealer has a red one so I can get it asap. You thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated, good thing is though I've already gotten approval from the other half, so just need to decide. Im 90% decided at the mo, just need some recommendations, especially of anyone has moved from a focus to the ST.
Many thanks everyone.

I can really recommend this car too! I come from the "never driven anything more powerful than my mk5 1.3L Fiesta Flight" side of things and I am so happy with the ST! It is just as happy pootling through my village at a sedate 20mph as it is whipping down the few national speed limit roads and piddling all over those nasty Nova boys. You will get a common complaint known as "rep up the tail pipe" but the recommended remedy is a swift planting of the right foot The looks, styling & power are just right with more than enough room to modify, tweak & personalise (if that be your wish!)

GO FOR IT!! Excellent car, I'm really pleased with mine. Heading on for 5000 miles now in less than 3 months Had a 1998 Subaru Impreza Turbo before the and I can honestly say I don't miss it!

I'll completely second what everyone else has said, go for it! I'm like PinkRinse, I hadn't driven anything with more than half the power of the ST before I got mine, so its a bit of a change. That said, after 1500 miles the acceleration in 3rd and 4th gear still brings a massive smile to my face every time I put my foot down. I don't think I'll ever tire of it. This car has the potential to embarrass some seriously more expensive machinery. The looks are spot on too, the car looks sporty without making you look like a Max Power reader, and the quality of the interior and the front seats are also excellent. Get the red one though, its easily the best colour.

Well everyone, just wanted to let you all know I'm v excited tonight, dealer phoned today telling me they had received delivery of my ST, and it's ready for collection tomorrow. Not bad, test drove last thursday, ordered it last friday, and collect it tomorrow, so 7 days from test drive to ownership, and all for 10.5k - perfromance blue with stripes. I'm sure I'll post and let everyone know how its going. I do big miles though, although most are motorway, so hoping I can keep up with the cost of fuel.
